The Sandbox Held Singapore Partner Day Event & Plans to Unite Brands in September with Lion City
The Singapore Partner Day event brought about many significant brands across the country who will all have a home in The Sandbox through Lion City, a neighborhood of 512 LANDs.

The Sandbox recently held its in-person Singapore Partner Day event, designed to encourage traditional Web2 brands to embrace the metaverse, with plans to unveil Lion City in September this year where all these culturally significant companies from the country will be united.
Lion City is the Singapore neighborhood of the voxel-based metaverse, which The Sandbox local Singapore team has been working on for 9 months. It’ll be a new neighborhood of 512 LANDs featuring over 30 regional and global brands and IPs that represent the culture of the aforementioned country through entertainment, sports, fashion, and technology, together with Web3 natives.
The Sandbox has picked Singapore as the key part of the Southeast Asia region due to its reputation “as a culturally rich and diverse business metropolis” but also because of its positive stance towards Web3 and innovation in general harbored through regulations friendly to nascent technologies.
According to a post from the developers of the decentralized virtual world, this marks the first time The Sandbox has brought all of Singapore’s ecosystem partners in one place.
Co-founder and COO of The Sandbox, Sebastien Borget, said the following:
“The Sandbox team has laid the foundation for expanding Metaverse opportunities in Singapore by partnering with over 30 brands and IPs. Additionally, we have certified 8 local agencies and will continue to onboard new partners, positioning Singapore as a global hub in Web3 and the Metaverse. Through the creative use of NFTs, we aim to empower talented individuals and inspire new job opportunities. On our Singapore Partner Day, we introduced these partners, shared our long-term vision, and highlighted the Lion City as a cultural hub.”
The Sandbox’s Lion City is set to act as a “gateway and launchpad for Southeast Asia,” with the recent event marked with the reveal of 35 partners to the Singapore ecosystem.
