The Sandbox Partners with Thunderbirds for VoxEdit Contest
The contest will commence on September 20, and the top ten players will share 24,500 SAND.
New VoxEdit Contest
The Sandbox has announced a new VoxEdit contest in partnership with Thunderbirds. Via a blog post, the Sandbox said,
“It’s a bird… It’s a plane… It’s Thunderbirds! Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to create a vehicle asset (car, ships motobikes etc.) inspired by the iconic 1960’s TV series.”
The top ten players will share a prize pool of 24,500 SAND. The overall winner will get 9000 SAND while the second and third will go home with 5500 SAND and 3000 SAND, respectively. The 4th to 10th place will get 1000 SAND, respectively.
The submission for the contest will commence on September 20 and close at 23:59 UTC on October 4. Review and voting will be done by the Sandbox and Thunderbirds team and will start from October 5 to October 19. Results will be announced on October 29.
Guidelines for the VoxEdit Contest
Participants must create a GIF of their fully animated asset and send it as a tweet, tagging VoxEdit and TheSandboxGame alongside using #VoxEditWeekly hashtags.
The reviewing team will automatically disqualify entries that are low quality or spam. Entries must be friendly and not contain any racist, gender-biased, homophobic or inappropriate references. It must be made entirely by the participant and not a plagiarism of Thunderbirds’ logo or creations. The entry should be made in the Sandbox free VoxEdit software. The created asset should be less than 5000 faces and not more than 175 nodes. The maximum size is 512 voxels (16 meters), and the floor prints should not be more than 512 x 512 x 512.
Sandbox has strengthened its partnership with other metaverse-based projects using the VoxEdit contest. NFT collections like DameTime, Tower of Light, Maya Water Park, Care Bears, Jinta Valley, and Mike’s Maze have also been featured in the metaverse. Additionally, the Sandbox is featuring an Alpha event starting on November 19, and players will get to explore the metaverse.
