The Sandbox and Modhaus are bringing TripleS into the metaverse

Modhaus, the Web3 entertainment company behind the sensational K-pop girl band tripleS, has announced an exclusive partnership with The Sandbox

The deal will see the duo creating a social hub with metaverse-hosted events to increase fan engagement related to the blockchain-backed K-pop group. With that, the K-pop label will also create licensed tripleS NFTs, such as avatars, wearables, and digital collectibles playable in The Sandbox realm.

Launched in 2021, Modhaus is a Web3 project that promotes K-pop culture through blockchain technology. To that end, the firm has developed a blockchain-based platform Cosmo, which allows fans with tripleS NFTs to vote for their favorite artists.

The company's first K-pop act - triple S - is the first to utilize blockchain technology as a means to form its member composition. It's a 24-member K-pop group, of which only eight members have been determined so far. In September, the community voted to create two subunits under the group - 'Acid Angel from Asia' and '+(KR)ystal Eyes.'

Acid Angel from Asia (AAA) released its debut album 'Access' on October 28th. Though AAA only hit the scene in less than two months, their lead track, "Generation," has garnered more than 28 million views on YouTube and over 3 million streams on Spotify.

Impressively, the group's debut landed them the top spot on the iTunes K-Pop Album Chart in the US, Mexico, and Turkey and number nine on the iTunes K-Pop Song Chart in the US and Canada. On the iTunes Worldwide Album Chart, it reached number 74.

"We are pleased to collaborate with Modhaus, which creates new ways with a blockchain system in the music industry. K-pop fans can enjoy the music of tripleS at The Sandbox in a more creative way," said Cindy Lee, CEO of The Sandbox Korea.

"In partnership with the Sandbox, our collective long-term aim is mass adoption of NFTs," said Joseph Baek, co-founder of Modhaus. "With Modhaus paving the way to revolutionize the K-Pop entertainment market, the Sandbox will be an essential partner in our journey to expansion."
