The Sandbox Unveils Pororo Game Jam
The Pororo Game Jam aims to reward fascinating creative experiences in the Metaverse with amazing prizes.
The Sandbox has announced the Pororo Game Jam dedicated to supporting creative presentations and designs of experiences in the Metaverse with unique rewards for winners and participants. The entries would be assessed on a 100 points scale divided into the following categories: Overall idea, Level/Game design, Creativity, Playability and Bonus points for the Wow factor.
The prize pool has a cumulative sum of 250,000 SAND which will be distributed in the following ways:
- 1st place: 65,000 SAND
- 2nd place: 30,000 SAND
- 3rd place: 20,000 SAND
- 4th to 10th place: 5,000 SAND each
Each participant will win 100 SAND. However, if there are over 1000 valid entries, winners will be selected at random, awarding 100 SAND to each of the 1000 selected.
There are specific requirements that participants are to follow: Entries must be unique, original, and created using the Game Maker Software. In addition, they must be playable and consist of quests, missions etc.
To submit entries, the Game Maker “Gallery” feature will be used as a form for submission, and Participants are to upload their game to the gallery using the title: “PORORO GAME JAM — Game Title”. In addition, they must also submit their game through this link because failure to do this renders them ineligible for assessment.Participants who submit multiple low-quality experiences to fit into any of the top positions risk being disqualified.
The Game Jam will commence on May 30th, 2022, the submission deadline will be June 12th 2022, at 3pm UTC, and the results will be announced on July 9th, 2022. The Sandbox and Iconix staff will carry out the assessment and evaluation of the submissions.
