The Alpha 2.5 version of Chain of Alliance, a turn-based party-builder RPG, is now officially live with a public Battle Ranks feature unlocked for everyone until September 25th.

This new version is labeled as the Gamescom Edition having launched on August 23th during the popular gaming event, where attendants had the chance to stop by the developers and try out the latest alpha version of the blockchain title.

With the latest release, the team has decided to make the Battle Ranks feature public, allowing everyone to enjoy it for a limited time. It was previously only available to Badge of Alliance NFT holders during the Alpha 2.0 version, which was aptly named Battle Ranks.

Battle Ranks is a seasonal ranking system that consists of 5 tiers divided into ranks for players to progress through by winning PvP matches. Various rewards are given out at the end of every season depending on your performance.

Next to introducing this feature to everyone, the developers have made a host of improvements, including general fixes, combat changes, and more.

The developers have also shared that a new tournament feature is currently in development and not yet ready for release at a satisfactory quality, so they’ve decided to share a sneak peek in the meantime where we can see a work-in-progress tournament menu, with visuals subject to change. The feature was supposed to be ready for Alpha 3.0, but it seems that will not be the case, so the developers will provide an update on the roadmap at some point in the future.

What is scheduled to arrive in Alpha 3.0 is a new character class: the Assassin class, with the developers looking to make sure this class adds “a whole new level of fun to the game.”

You can check out the full list of changes included in Alpha 2.5 through the article found linked in the tweet down below.
