UAE Will Open a New Headquarters in the Metaverse, says UAE Minister of Economy
The UAE Ministry of Economy has announced the commencement of activities by its third headquarters in the metaverse, which would be accessible to everyone.
The Minister of Economy, Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri, has unveiled the new UAE headquarters in the metaverse during the Dubai Metaverse Assembly. Everyone will access the headquarters with no restraint. Before he gave the audience a tour around the virtual space, he said, “this is not a proof of concept; this is our third address”. The virtual headquarters will complement the activities of the two physical headquarters in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
The UAE leaders have directed the physical headquarters to use the power of the digital world. The headquarters will allow the ministry to explore, expand, and prioritize digital services.
Functions of the Virtual Headquarters
Visitors will sign legal documents at the virtual headquarters without visiting the physical office. It will reduce the stress and procedures required to visit Dubai or Abu Dhabi for related legal executions.
Each of the headquarter’s multiple story buildings will serve a different purpose. A ticket purchased by a visitor will alert a “customer happiness center employee” at the headquarters to attend to the metaverse visitor. The virtual space has an auditorium where conferences and meetings can hold; attendees will share their screens if required.
On July 18, the Metaverse Strategy arm of the government of Dubai announced its goal of creating 40,000 virtual jobs by 2030. It also declared its support for the government’s vision. The government hopes to increase the current number of blockchain companies to five times its current number. The virtual headquarters is one way the ministry is pushing its metaverse campaign.
