Ubisoft Backs Blockchain Gaming Hackathon in Singapore
Ubisoft Joins Forces with Oasys Blockchain for Singapore's GameWave Genesis Hackathon, an innovative initiative fostering Web3 gaming development. Participants vie for a $42k prize pool, with Ubisoft awarding $3k for the best entry focused on interoperability.

Singapore's gaming landscape is set to evolve as Oasys Blockchain introduces the GameWave Genesis Hackathon, a pioneering endeavor aimed at propelling game development on the Oasys Chain. Running from August 18 to September 13, this initiative aims to catalyze the adoption of Web3 gaming, fostering an ecosystem for groundbreaking games, tools, and applications.
Ubisoft's Support for the Event

In collaboration with Amazon Web Service (AWS), the hackathon will unfold in Singapore. Ubisoft, known for its recent foray into blockchain gaming with "Champions Tactics" on Oasys, is actively sponsoring the event alongside Adventure Gold DAO, Chain Verse, ChainGuardians, and AAG.

Significant Prize Pool of $42,000
The GameWave Genesis Hackathon comes bearing an impressive prize pool of $42,000 for standout projects. Notably, Oasys and AWS will allocate $15,000, $10,000, and $5,000 respectively to the top three performers. Additionally, Ubisoft and other supporting companies have lined up enticing rewards:
Ubisoft - $3,000 for the best entry centered around interoperability in "Champions Tactics" or the broader Web3 realm. AAG - $3,000 for enhancing the utility of TomoOne NFTs. ChainGuardians - $3,000 for showcasing the use of Oasys' layer 2 blockchain and integrating interoperable NFTs. Adventure Gold DAO - $3,000 for crafting an autonomous world or dApp for the platform. The Oasys blockchain's advantages for Web3 gaming were recently highlighted.
Participation Guidelines
To partake in the GameWave Genesis Hackathon, interested individuals can register via the Dorahacks website and complete the accompanying application form. Submissions must be made by September 5, with the finalists set to be unveiled on September 8. This event is poised to stir innovative contributions within Singapore's burgeoning blockchain gaming landscape.
