Upland Enters Q3 with a Huge Focus on User-Generated Content

Metaverse game Upland is moving into Q3 with a new roadmap focused on user-driven content and interactive gameplay.
Some of the features for Q3 include an expanded Mission System, custom racing, new Metaventures, and new Legits. According to the team, they are looking to expand the Mission System to include additional missions for new players that cover other areas of Upland. This allows newbies to get acquainted with the game before progressing further in the virtual realm.
On top of that, Upland plans to introduce player agency for racing, a set of features that allow players more control over how their cars perform on the racetrack. Players can manage their ride, speed up or slow down, and navigate the course with twists and turns. This will pave the way for the introduction of 'racing for stakes,' where players may earn rewards by winning a race.
The Speedway Metaventure is also open for applications. Players can now design their racetracks and submit them as part of the entry. Once racing for stakes is available, owners can monetize their creations. Upland Cafes have also launched in Beta. These structures will soon exist as a new type of Metaventure, which will be player-owned in the Upland metaverse.
Those who own a terminal in Upland will now receive a portion of the UPX earnings generated from terminal ticket sales. The earnings rate will be set at 20% and distributed among terminal owners of the same type in their respective cities based on their terminal and parcel size. UPX earnings will be distributed every month, during the first week of each month, with the first payment set for the first week of August.
The game has also brought in FIFA Women's World Cup in the form of new Legits, a suite of NFTs designed to enable brands to extend their real-life presence in Upland. The whole FIFA-based experience will include digital collectibles and videos of FIFA's tournaments, platform-sponsored community events, FIFA Women's World Cup 2023-themed Cafes, and community-created games and experiences leveraging FIFA-based digital collectibles.
Upland will also automate UGC asset review in Q3 and reduce the clearance time from 5 to 2 days. Other features and enhancements include extended support for Ethereum mainnet, API feature enhancements, and the launch of community-created tournaments. To learn more, check out the official roadmap.
