Upland Hosts World War II Remembrance Day Tour
Upland hosted this year's WWII Memorial day observation in grand style with so many activities packaged for the diverse player communities in its Metaverse.
World War II remembrance day is observed every year to honor the over 16 million soldiers and civilians that lost their lives during the war. To celebrate this year's memorial day, Upland organized and funded a tour that was hosted live on YouTube.
The 2-day tour encompasses areas such as museums, forts, and memorials in New York City. The tour officially kicked off on Monday, May 30th by 11:00 AM PT in Brooklyn, from Brooklyn, the tour steered its way to each of New York City's five boroughs.
Registration for the tour ended 2 hours before the tour officially kicked off and a prize of 0.01 Spark was announced by Upland, to be won by anyone who could visit every location on the tour before it ended on Tuesday, May 31th at 11:59 PM PT.
The complete tour route was from Brooklyn to Manhattan, with Queens being the next destination, then Staten Island, and back to Queens again. From Queens, the tour headed to the Bronx and finally back to Brooklyn with a total travel time estimated to be about 20 minutes.
Those that participated in the tour were able to do so using the Upland app, clicking on the menu at the bottom of the screen, then clicking on "treasures". On the bottom left, Brooklyn was selected and finally, the World War II Memorial day tour appeared in the UI, from which the tour can be followed live.
