Qube Crypto Space, the developers of WarQube, a free-to-play title that blends MOBA, tower defense and isometric shooter genres, have released a gameplay teaser for PvE, one of the three game modes that will be included in the play-to-earn game.

The teaser footage showcases players defending a large floating cube from waves of different enemies, such as large robotic spiders in a variety of different 3D environments using ranged weapons, special abilities such as aerial bombardment alongside turrets to mow down the incoming foes. In this game mode, which is the main mode of the NFT title, the goal is to hold out for a certain number of waves, winning the match if preventing the destruction of the cube in the base. Players can play as various different characters, each of which has their own weapon, characteristics and special abilities.

While the game will be free-to-play, in order to enable play-to-earn rewards, players will need to own either a Standard Avatar NFT or a Premium Avatar NFT. There will be a dual-token economy where $WQC is the unlimited reward coin used for purchasing in-game items as well as for buying, upgrading, minting and charging energy cubes, while $WQT is the main 1 billion-capped governance token used for staking, buying NFTs and voting on governance proposals.

According to the roadmap, the game is set to commence alpha testing sometime in 2023, the same year in which the in-game marketplace, NFT Avatars, play-to-earn rewards, the PvE mode and more will launch. The game’s cross-game NFT partners include ShootGun by iDos Games and Lift & Shoot by BFG.
