Yuga Labs Introduces The Hunt in Season 4 of HV-MTL Forge
The Hunt is a new feature added to Season 4 of HV-MTL Forge that expands upon the Yuga Labs-licensed blockchain title by adding roguelike dungeon crawling gameplay.

The Season 4 of HV-MTL Forge, an ever-expanding blockchain game based on a collection of 30k Mech NFTs that combines elements of pet games with base building and dungeon crawling, is now live, with Yuga Labs introducing a new gameplay feature called The Hunt.
What is The Hunt?
The Hunt is a new gameplay feature introduced in the latest Season 4 that adds dungeon crawling gameplay to HV-MTL Forge. In the previous seasons, what players got to experience was a blend of a pet game and a casual world builder, but now, it’s time to jump into The Rift where you can enjoy isometric gameplay consisting of new items to collect, goodies to craft, and new enemies to fight. You’ll get to gather various resources spread across different biomes, as well as face a final boss battle.
How to Get Started
Before going on this dangerous roguelike expedition, you’ll have to get to the Rift first, which you can do by building out your Forge into the fog of war until you see the Rift Portal. Once you’ve built out enough tiles, you should be able to see it and gain access to it.
When entering The Rift, you’ll get to choose the difficulty and one of 4 different biomes to explore. Starting an adventure in The Rift costs energy, with the amount consumed varying based on the difficult level chosen. On an expedition, there are 3 main categories of materials to gather: Biotics, Technics, and Gemstones, with the last category consisting of the rarest materials. Next to gathering items, you’ll also be crafting 3 different kinds of items: Augments, Infusions, and Keys. As you play, your Battery will be consumed over time, and once it is fully depleted, your expedition is over. If that happens, you lose half of the items from that playthrough. To prevent this, you can use Gears, an in-game currency, to refill your Battery. Gears can be purchased from the in-game shop using ApeCoin and next to refilling the Battery can be used for buying items from the Shop, speeding up the construction of tiles and decorative objects, as well as for purchasing designs for tiles and decorative objects.
