Aronow is taking a Break from Work
Wylie Aronow, the founder of Yuga Labs and creator of Bored Ape Yacht Club and CryptoPunks, has announced that he will take a break from work to focus on his health. He was diagnosed with congestive heart failure after experiencing various symptoms in recent months. In a tweet to his followers, Aronow explained that this was a difficult decision but necessary for his health.
Aranow Continues as a Board Member and Advisor
Wylie Aronow has stated that although his congestive heart failure symptoms are mild and allow him to live a mostly everyday life, the condition has worsened to the point where he had to prioritize his health over work. He has not set a specific timeline for his recovery but will continue to serve as a board member and strategic advisor for Yuga Labs. This is not the first time Aranow has dealt with a medical issue, as he previously struggled with a chronic illness in his twenties that impacted his career. However, after overcoming that illness and co-founding Yuga Labs, he has made great strides in his career.
Although it is not specified what Wylie Aronow's role as a strategic advisor will entail, he recently proposed a new model for NFT creator royalties on November 8, 2022. Aronow co-founded Yuga Labs with Greg Solano in February 2021, and the company has created several notable NFTs, such as CryptoPunks, Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), MeeBits, and Othersidemeta.
